Getting Started
with Pixel Shaders

This workshop is designed to help you delve into the practical and understandable use of shaders, even if you have no prior experience in graphic programming. During the session, you will learn to work with pixel shaders in GLSL (OpenGL Shading Language), exploring basic concepts such as manipulating pixels using the RGB color model. The workshop will cover everything from writing shaders to real-time graphics manipulation techniques, providing you with a solid foundation for understanding how these programs can be used to create visual effects in graphics applications. The session is aimed at developers, designers, and anyone interested in getting started in the world of creative coding.

ilithya, a multidisciplinary artist and technologist from Mexico, is currently based in Germany. With a degree in marketing and self-taught programming, her work sits at the intersection of art and technology. Specializing in the use of shaders in OpenGL Shading Language, ilithya has stood out for her creative and technical approach. Since 2016, in addition to her artistic work, she has dedicated herself to teaching programming and creative coding, contributing to the development of new forms of digital expression.
