Bideotikan Talks is a space for dialogue and reflection dedicated to exploring the connections between digital art, technology, and creativity. In these sessions, prominent artists, technologists, and industry professionals share their vision and experience, addressing topics ranging from creative coding and artificial intelligence to generative art and the future of digital aesthetics.

Each talk offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the creative process of those at the forefront of artistic innovation, creating an environment where the audience can actively participate with questions, exchanges of ideas, and debates.

iLithya

profile

Ilithya is a multidisciplinary artist and technologist with extensive experience in creative programming and design, originally from Mexico and currently based in Hamburg, Germany. She holds a degree in Marketing and is a self-taught programmer, creating works of art that combine code and algorithms, often interactive, at the intersection of art and technology. Her preferred medium is the creation of shaders through the OpenGL Shading Language.

In her most recent work, Ilithya explores on-chain generative art, machine learning, and new forms of digital media to create web art, physical installations, audiovisual art, and performances. She also collaborates with musicians, creating real-time visuals, and since 2009, she has designed websites for individuals and brands. In 2016, she began teaching programming and creative coding workshops.

Her work has been presented by Agora Digital Art and Studio 13/16 of the Centre Pompidou, and has been part of international exhibitions and performances on platforms such as Night Lights Denver, Digital Art Month Paris, Neo Shibuya Tokyo, CADAF Art Fair New York, playrecordmint Basel, Iterations Amsterdam, Bright Moments Mexico, Bideotikan Bilbao, and Refraction Portugal.

Jon Astorquiza

Jon Astorquiza is a multidisciplinary artist and project director who focuses on innovative artistic experiences. With a degree in Fine Arts and a master's degree in Business and Cultural Project Management, he has directed the International Conferences of Art and Technology Technarte in Bilbao and Los Angeles for over 10 years, where he has connected a global network of artists who fuse art, science, and technology.

Throughout his career, Jon has led high-impact cultural projects, such as artistic residency programs in unique scientific environments like Antarctica or the Roque de los Muchachos Astronomical Observatory. He has also curated exhibitions and festivals of digital, visual, and sound arts. Recognized for his focus on innovation, he has given lectures and training on the intersection of art and technology, highlighting the creative potential that arises from this union.

In 2018, he founded ElektrART, a multidisciplinary artistic collective that creates immersive installations, video mapping on architecture, and technology-based artistic experiences. With a vision of the future that seeks to humanize technology through art, his work has been awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sport as one of the three best national innovation projects in Spain. Additionally, in 2020 he was awarded the Aixe Getxo prize in Visual and Audiovisual Arts.

Jon also advises companies and cultural institutions on their transition to an innovation model, helping them to balance their presence in the real and digital worlds.

Diego Urruchi

Diego Urruchi

Diego Urruchi is a filmmaker and transmedia producer with a solid track record in the audiovisual field. Founder of Media Attack in 2009, his company is characterized by the creation of innovative and avant-garde multimedia projects, always seeking new ways to tell stories through digital formats. He is also the creator of StereoZona.com, a Basque music platform with over 10 years of history.

In his career, Diego has developed and managed numerous projects focused on technological innovation and new audiovisual formats. He has been the organizer of the Transmedia Day and founder of the Next Station laboratory, which focuses on the detection and promotion of audiovisual talent. Additionally, he has coordinated the Urban Labs of the Bilbao As Fabrik project and has worked as a professor at the University of Deusto in the degree of Technologies for Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication.

In 2022, Diego took over the management of the municipal facility La Perrera, a space that promotes STEAM talent through the programming of innovative activities related to new technologies, art, and education. His focus on immersive environments such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), as well as his work in 360º video, have consolidated him as a reference in the integration of technology and creativity.

Throughout his career, Diego has produced and directed award-winning documentaries such as 160 Metros: una historia del rock en Bizkaia and Mama, winner of the 2022 Goya Award for Best Documentary Short Film. His experience and focus on audiovisual experimentation make him an innovator in the sector.
