Iván Puñal is a multidisciplinary artist and visual creator who merges photography, video, and audiovisual performance. He graduated in Technical Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and began his career in photography and video in 2008, founding his studio, Cromatica45, in 2013. Starting in 2015, he shifted his focus toward sound and visual improvisation, developing skills in MAX MSP and TouchDesigner.
Since 2019, he has worked on a wide variety of projects. Among them are the performance No Longer A Tree, which explores environmental degradation and the relationship between humans and nature, and Universo 25, a reflection on overpopulation and its social effects. Additionally, he has worked on the opera Cosi Fan Tutte at the Euskalduna Palace in Bilbao, created visuals for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, and collaborated on exhibitions such as Arte en Órbita. He has also presented installations and visuals at international festivals and events, including Circulation(s) in Paris and the EMA festival in Madrid.
