Tameem Sankari is a Syrian graphic artist living in Copenhagen. He combines coding and retro graphics to create contemporary animations with a nostalgic feel. Depicting everyday objects, scenes or moments, Tameem is able to create highly abstract and experimental novel works, whilst still offering the viewer a sense of familiarity.
Tameem is a byproduct of the low-tech age when kids unlocked life’s mysteries through retro gaming and the early age of computer graphics. Inspired by this, he utilizes infinite loops of motions, geometric shapes, patterns and grids to inject novelty to the mainstream, using algorithms and code as a medium to express his view of the world.
